The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a primary school based in the Oldham area. The school has an excellent reputation within the local authority and high expectations of both its staff and pupils.

We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 5-11 with special educational needs. This role is to support identified pupils on a 1:1 basis and work as part of an established SEN department to ensure a positive and motivated learning environment.

This is a full time role will include tasks such as;

·Supporting individuals to complete set tasks within the classroom.

·Promoting learning within the school environment.

·Leading small groups under direction of the teacher.

·Implementing behaviour strategies.

·Working in partnership with teachers and other TAs to provide a positive environment for learning.

·Community activities

·Experience working with young people with SEN is essential and relevant qualifications

Candidates must be able to fully commit the post which commences immediately and is an ongoing role until the end of the academic year.

Candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure.
