Purchase Ledger Clerk - Part Time
22.5 Hours p/w (Monday - Friday)

Travis Perkins have an exciting opportunity for a part time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Group Finance Team, based in Lodge Way - Northampton.

You will provide an efficient administrative service to the whole of Purchase Ledger by ensuring that systems are updated and correct and suppliers are paid correctly and on time, according to the agreed terms.

Key Accountabilities:

Administration

Supplier details and payment information to be accurately maintained.

Process invoices and credits onto the Purchase Ledger system in line with department procedures.

Identify supplier invoices that require re-optimisation in the OCR system to gain optimum detail identification.

Maximise the number of suppliers sending invoices via EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).

Reconciliation

Prompt analysis of supplier queries, including supplier statement reconciliations to assist

management in agreeing the appropriate corrective action.

Maximise the number of electronic statements (Excel and EDI)

Document, investigate, and rectify statement to ledger differences. Ensure follow up procedure with supplier.

Request and ensure missing invoices and credits are received and on the Purchase Ledger system

Utilising your current administration and general accounting skills, you will be joining a fast paced/dedicated team, where strong organising and prioritising is key. Within this role you will communicate at all levels, providing a seamless customer service experience at all times with high attention to detail and accuracy throughout.
