35 Hours per weekAre you an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor?Do you have strong people skills and a background in managing direct reports?We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our growing and successful organisation.As part of the Accounts Payable team you will be reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager and be responsible for supervising and leading the accounts payable team to manage and monitor systems, procedures and policies.Day to day you will work with the Accounts Payable Manager to develop, implement and monitor sound financial controls systems, policies and procedures to ensure the Groups financial services are robust and secure and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.You will be required to produce KPI’s and set and review the daily, weekly and monthly targets for the team as well as ensuring the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions are carried out accurately and that credit ledgers are maintained in an effective and up to date manner.Additional duties will include checking and reviewing and authorising weekly payment runs, audit reports as well as carry out complex utilities, service charge/managing agent and supplier reconciliations.Within Financial Services you be responsible for ensuring the busy Accounts Payable portal is maintained by the team by priortising and categorizing calls. You will investigate and respond to correspondence or queries on the centralized team mailbox. You will also be responsible for ensuring the team open the post and the scanning of invoices and statements directly to the portal immediately.This is an exceptionally high volume transactional processing team and you will be required to provide a high quality of service, we are looking for a strong Accounts Payable Supervisor with proven people and time management skills.The ideal candidate will be:·Part qualified accountant or equivalent·Have proven experience of supervising and leading a team with the ability to motivate, develop, identify training needs and cross train staff in a fast paced, high volume environment·Complex supplier reconciliation experience·Ability to problem solve and forward plan·Exceptional organisational and time management skills·IT skills, proficiency of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel ·Good working knowledge of Sun, Proactis or similar finance system
