As a company they have always been committed to presenting employees with ongoing career and personal development opportunities. Due to our client’s continued expansion, they are at present seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to be based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

THE ROLE: The role of the Accountant / Bookkeeper will be required to support the finance department, including maintaining financial records, processing payments and salaries. You will also be required to provide accurate and timely financial support to team members as required

Key Responsibilities of an Accountant / Bookkeeper to include:-

Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of all finance matters.
Ensure priority is given to daily cash flow reporting and management, including daily monitoring of bank balances, management of currencies and review of forecast information as and when necessary.
Support the Finance Manager by inputting into sales and purchase ledgers from source documents and ensuring sales invoices are raised timely and accurately and suppliers are paid promptly.
Expense management, including checking of all submitted expenses and credit card forms and inputting into ledger ensuring maximum VAT is reclaimed as appropriate.
Assist with month end/year end procedures including ensuring that key balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
Accurate and timely processing of payroll and all related statutory taxes including VAT/PAYE etc.
Assistance with debt collection as and when necessary.
Producing weekly and monthly management reports and other ad hoc reports as required.
Resolution of finance related queries.
Provide financial support to team members.
