TITLE: Company Accountant

SALARY: £33,000 - £40,000


This is a rarely available opportunity to join a thriving niche business in Bury St Edmunds.
Our client is looking for an In House Company Accountant who will be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department, supporting the Director and Office Manager in regards to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department staff in day-today operations.
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced, determined and dynamic individual.

What you’ll be doing

To manager all aspects of finance and company taxation
Preparing the year end accounts for the external auditors
Collaborating with auditing serviced to ensure compliance with all regulations
Manager cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal report
Create monthly and annual reports
Bank reconciliation
Complete quarterly VAT returns
Overview of sales/purchase/nominal ledgers
Month end procedure
Foreign exchange
Financial hedging

What we’re looking for

An experienced In-house Company Accountant able to demonstrate experience of a similar role in a medium business
AAT qualified is desirable
Knowledge of SAGE is essential
Solid written and verbal communication
Organisational skills and ability to manager deadlines
High level of numeracy
Proficiency in IT
