Staffline PLC is currently recruiting for an ambitious and driven Part-qualified / Finalist accountant to join our head office finance team at our prestigious client based in High Wycombe. You will be part of a dynamic team with instant exposure to different areas of the business within one of UKs most well known brand. The role is a dynamic role with consistent challenges that you would expect to face at a client such as this - all whilst being funded and fully supported for your training towards your desired accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT). You will be involved in month end reporting and day to day financial accounting, including preparation of statutory accounts all whilst supported by a genuine and helpful team.

The Candidate:

·Will have a strong academic background and an appetite for learning

·1-3 years of experience in finance/accounting

·Will be ambitious and keen to learn and develop within the organisation and also studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA.

·Will be used to working to tight deadlines and producing accurate information

·Will have experience in delivering month-end.

·Will have drive and ambition

·Will be inquisitive and will actively look for process improvements and efficiencies as well as strong appreciation for internal controls

·Will have strong Excel skills and will be proficient in Word and Powerpoint

·Will have strong reasoning skills, able to clearly articulate themselves and explain financial information to non-financial staff


·Responsible for preparation of timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory and intercompany processes

·Lead/assisting the month-end close

·Support in the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit process

·Assist in internal control reviews for assigned control objectives

·Assist in special projects and requests involving general accounting systems

·Review and improve manual processes, actively seek solutions for aged issues

·Support the Budgeting and Forecasting process by populating and analysing templates with current financial information

  • Manage the month end finalisation of P&L ready for review with Finance management

·Prepare monthly P&L analysis including waterfalls calling out key drivers in period vs forecasts/budgets

·Other adhoc duties as required
