We showcase more than 130 fragrance brands available in over 200 stores throughout the UK, online at, and via our app and mobile site, as well as over the phone. The Fragrance Shop is on a steep growth track with many exciting new development plans on the horizon that will see us expand into new categories starting with beauty in 2017, new customer demographic groups that will come with their own specific niche and more premium brands, and further growth into new international markets.

Role Snapshot:

The Management & Financial Systems Accountant will help shape fundamental changes to critical financial business systems and processes within the organisation. They will be key in driving systemic change and delivering the transformational roadmap. They will deliver efficiencies and infrastructure to support the demands of the business in this exciting phase of growth. This is a hands on role in a fast paced, results driven organisaiton where innovation and a practical solution orientated approach is critical.


·Project management

·Able to effectively manage the life cycle of a project from end to end (scope, design, testing, implementation and review)

·Work across the business to map and document current finance processes and evaluate their effectiveness, being able to identify opportunity and risk

·Deliver new processes that are fit for the future business model

·Source solutions, define and present effective business cases

·Involvement and management of the integration of acquisition targets

Key member of the Senior Finance team contributing in other areas as required;

·Budgeting, forecasting & modeling

·Financial and commercial reporting

·Other duties as reasonably required

What success will look like (non exhaustive list):

·Delivery of the roadmap to timescales, current ongoing roadmap projects;

- Time and attendance system

- Automation of procurement to pay processes

- Strategic upgrade of ERP systems

- International systems for expansion overseas

·Manage project implementation with minimal disruption and minimal risk

·Simplification of processes, driving efficiency and commercial benefit

·Risk reduction through improved internal control environment

·Demonstrable results across the business leading from systemic innovation

·Key member of the Senior Finance team effectively contributing to the delivery of the growth strategy


·Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

·Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience

·Retail/Wholesale experience beneficial but not essential

·Practical and proven experience of systems innovation and process change

·Strong and demonstrable project management skills and experience

·Good commercial acumen

·Exceptional communicator, ability to build relationships at all levels

·Proactive and resilient self-starter, a team player, passionate with the ability to inspire others around them
