Michael Page are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Coordinator for an expanding company based in North Tyneside.

Client Details

An independently owned expanding company are looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their new offices in North Tyneside on a permanent basis.


  • Full ownership of the Accounts Payable function of the Finance team
  • Reconciliation of all bank transactions
  • Raising and coding purchase invoices for the business
  • Processing payments once they have been approved
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Ensuring the Accounts Payables are paid
  • Reporting issues with Aged Payables over 30 days
  • Process team expenses
  • Reconciliation of company Credit Card transaction
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in the production of monthly Management Accounts
  • Providing financial support to the operations team
  • Supporting with budgeting for projects
  • Aiding in Process Improvement
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in the production of year end statutory accounts
  • Supporting the Accounts Receivable Coordinator


The successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified to at least AAT Level 3 or experience equivalent
  • Have experience within a similar role
  • Have strong understanding of accountancy and tax principles
  • Have strong organisational skills, have great attention to detail and the ability to prioritise their own workload
  • Be a team player
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Have knowledge of Skype and Xero accountancy software
  • Have experience with Google Documents
  • Have great interpersonal skills
  • Be self motivated and focused on their own development
