**Immediate start - Teaching Assistant positions.

** Earn a gross daily rate of £65 per day initially

** Croydon Independent Special School.

An Independent Special School, in the East Croydon area, will be looking for at least 3Teaching Assistants ASPA. If successful you will earn £65 per day initially and then, if all goes well, you would earn a fixed term contract with the school, after 6/8 weeks.

The London school has been up and running for over 7 years and there are 8 sites across Croydon, London. It is expanding rapidly. The students have all been permanently excluded from their mainstream schools, all have emotional and behavioural difficulties and some with Autism and complex needs. Students will usually work in small groups with Teachers, supported by Teaching Assistants, and others have individual tuition.

The Head is outstanding and will only work with people who are committed to these young people. She is looking for strong graduates who have good subject knowledge and a genuine passion for working with these young people. People who want to go on to be teachers either in SEN or the Mainstream. She is looking for graduates in all subject areas.

You will need to be a strong graduate who works hard, has a thick skin with a good sense of humour!! Those with experience of working with Youths, Mentoring, Sports Coaching, Summer Camp Mentors would be ideal for this role.

If you engage the students this will be a very satisfying role which would look great on your CV. Someone who aspires to be a Head of Department would find this initial challenging role good preparation for a future career in teaching.

An Independent School, for Secondary students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, is looking for strong graduates to work with her students ASAP!

  • Have you graduated in the last 5 years?
  • Have you some experience working with young people either overseas or in the UK?
  • Are you competent with Maths and English?
  • Are you looking to be a Teacher or Ed Psych in the future?
  • Are you empathetic with young people with difficulties?
  • Are you a hard worker with a thick skin and a good sense of humour?

They are looking for:-

  • Secondary LSA. Art Specialism if possible. Even someone with Art GCSE/A level would be great most of the work would be on the Art side (Secondary LSA. Math's
  • Secondary LSA. (Has to be Male due to the nature of the role) and will be working one to one with a student away from site. Outreach.

If you meet the above criteria this could be the role for you. A great way to start your career. The job will have it's moments but it will ultimately be a great experience and very rewarding. The students have all been permanently excluded from their mainstream schools and need supportive, caring but assertive people to support them.
