Falkirk Council's community learning and development Service is seeking to add to its team of Activity agreement youth workers to develop and deliver learning programmes and activities for young people across Falkirk. You will work closely with and take direction from Community Learning Officers to fulfil the opportunity for all offer. You will be expected to work as part of a team, with the other Activity agreement youth workers. The overall purpose of the role is to: 1) support young people to become engaged in learning which will enable them to move into a positive destination e.g. training employment or Education 2) enable young people to increase their employability skills and fulfil their potential to make a successful transition to young adulthood.

Essential requirements of the role include being a clear and confident communicator and skills and experience in working with young people. Desirable requirements include more specialised skills in supporting young people by providing key worker support .The role will involve working in a school and community setting. It will involve work during the daytime and during evenings and weekends. The role will also involve street work and working from community venues and learning centres. The availability and pattern of work will be determined by the requirements of the service and may vary over time.

You will work 18.5 hours per week.

This post is temporary until March 2018 due to budget restrictions.
