Reporting to the Finance Manager - Aircraft and Asset Accounting, the Asset & Maintenance Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of aircraft and asset accounting across the Group, as well as associated overhead costs. This position will be split between working in our Leeds City Centre office and with the Engineering Team who are based at our Head Office, Leeds Bradford Airport.

In this critical and exciting position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Long and Short Term Maintenance as well as Fixed assets and depreciation. The Asset & Maintenance Accountant will manage Capital expenditure and associated accounting, including Capex requests, policy, forecasts and asset tracking and verification, with a particular focus on accounting for the new fleet of aircraft. Providing financial decision making support as well as the preparation and delivery of monthly maintenance management accounts, including presentations to key Engineering stakeholders and the Chief Financial Officer is vital to the success of this role.

In addition, you will review financial outputs from AMOS (Engineering Maintenance Management System), whilst promoting improvements in financial process and systems to increase the effectiveness and depth of analysis provided by the Finance team.


The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA /ACA) with proven experience of preparing high quality and insightful financial performance reports. You will have a clear presentation style and the ability to present complex financial information in a straight forward and understandable way. Possessing excellent communication and IT skills (MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint), you will be adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment delivering to tight timescales. Creating and developing strong business relationships at all levels will be a particular strength.
