Key Tasks
1 To work within the philosophies of the service, adhering to Accord's policies and procedures at all times.
2 To support Customers in all aspects of daily living including all aspects of personal care.
3 To provide care and support as identified in individual care plans and support key workers in planning for Customers.
4 To ensure that Customers well-being is monitored and any concerns are raised with the appropriate persons.
5 Encourage and promote customers independence and decision making.
6 To initiate and encourage participation in social activities within the scheme.
7 To be aware of health and safety issues for Customers, self and others, paying prompt attention to all safety requirements with particular regard to fire precautions, fire drills and hazards reporting any concerns to appropriate persons.
8 To maintain confidentiality of all records and information relating to residents/staff in accordance with Accord's Confidentiality Policy.
9 To communicate effectively with other team members.
10 To participate in training appropriate to the post, attending staff meetings, supervision and appraisal.
11 Any other tasks or duties as reasonably required in connection with the post.

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
