Credit Control & Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant

Farnham, Surrey

£18000 - £20000 + 22d holiday, rising, pension, healthcare or perk box, cycle to work, car share and childcare voucher schemes, support with qualifications / studies. Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm (M-T) 8.30am - 5.00pm (Fri)

An Accounts Assistant is required to ensure all credit clients' accounts are maintained on a weekly basis and any late payment or extension to the agreed credit limits are notified to the relevant Managing Director immediately. This organisation likes people who are positive, ambitious and want to develop their careers.

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • General Accounts experience, preferably with an element of credit control
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Highly numerate with excellent IT skills, especially Excel
  • Confident telephone manner

Desirable:

  • Studying for AAT and/or CICM
  • Experience of Pegasus
  • Knowledge of Payroll

Duties will include:

  • Update credit limits and allocation of receipts on Pegasus
  • Provide weekly statements to clients
  • Import Sales Ledger invoices
  • Maintain Sales Ledger including reconciliation of accounts
  • Liaise with clients to ensure payments are received on time and report any late payments to the Payroll Manager / Financial Controller before the payroll runs
  • Manage client enquiries regarding payment issues
  • Provide weekly status reports, sales figures calculation
  • Prepare monthly payment schedule
  • Calculate Introducer Fees, manage timesheet management fees
  • Reconcile accounts monthly
