An expanding business within the Engineering sector are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team based in St Helens on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have previous experience from a high volume environment, along with proven ability to manage a full Purchase Ledger function including payment runs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with exciting plans for the future, joining an established team.

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:

  • Managing and controlling the Purchase Ledger, including inputting high volume invoices
  • Ensuring that all invoices are properly authorised by designated individuals
  • Posting the invoices onto company system
  • Prompt payment of invoices in line with payment terms
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Manage and monitor company expenses and to ensure that VAT is correctly applied
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Assist the wider finance team
  • Essential Requirements are:

  • Previous Purchase Ledger experience in a high volume environment
  • SAGE experience
  • Strong organisational skills
