Purchase Ledger Clerk
Our client based outside Chester, is looking to appoint a Purchase Ledger Clerk to start asap.
The role is initially temporary, potential to go permanent.
The pay is £8.50 per hour, hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.00pm on Friday.
Main duties will include:
Preparing invoices for posting onto Sage for 7 companies
Matching purchase orders to delivery notes and then to invoices
Coding invoices prior to checking
Organising invoices for authorising
Posting onto Sage
Filing posted invoices
Check statements to purchase ledger
Request copies of any missing invoices
Monthly Supplier Payments
Run debtors list
Attach all relevant invoices for payment
Ensure all invoices have been authorised before passing to Supervisor
When BACS run has been completed, post payments onto Sage
Email remittance advice to suppliers
File paid invoices
Issue new purchase orders when requested (Sage generated)
File copies and attach to delivery notes when goods received
Deal with any supplier/invoice queries that arise
Liaise with other sites with regard to getting invoices authorised or queries dealt with
You must be, confident, professional, be competent in all computer packages including Sage, have previous purchase ledger experience and be available for an immediate start.
