This is a new role with a well-established company opening a new factory on the Alconbury Weald in Cambridgeshire. There will be the installation of the new equipment and the commissioning process.
Working with an experienced engineer and being led by the engineering supervisor, this opportunity would lead to a very promising future.
The role involves working with the maintenance engineer and maintenance supervisor to learn all aspects of becoming an maintenance engineer.
Including but not limited to -
Lock out tag out
Fabrication (including welding)
Machining (lathe, milling, etc.)
Skills Required -
Any mechanical experience (working on cars or metal working at school etc) would be advantages but not critical.
Qualifications Required -
Minimum GCSE in Math and English C's or above
Personal Qualities -
Reliable, Enthusiastic, Hardworking
Working Week -
40 hours a week, 8 hrs a day
1 day a week day release to college (located in Cambridge)
4 days on site (located in Alconbury)
Salary Structure for Apprentice's -
0 - 1 year service: £3.50 per hour (after probationary period you will receive an enhanced pay of up to £50.00 a week)
1 - 2 year service: £5.60 per hour + 10% of NMW
2 - 3 year service: £5.60 per hour + 20% of NMW
