Client Details

My client is part of a not-for-profit organisation looking to add a new position to their growing headcount. They are one of Tunbridge Wells' most reputable businesses.


Duties include but are not limited to:

Assist with the management and maintenance of the GL and the TB

o Completing month end -month end reconciliations and analysis for reporting.

o Carrying out sales ledger and accounts payables reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations.

o Preparation and reconciliation of the Monthly VAT report and getting the monthly report to the client.

o Preparing information for both income and cost accruals and

o Carrying out accruals and prepayment journals as approved by Commercial (Finance) Manager.

o Carrying out the journal postings for these reconciliations once reviewed and authorised by Commercial (Finance) Manager.

o Carrying out various systems reconciliations.

o Processing sales invoices and management and reconciliation of age debtors report.

o Collating Sales invoice information ready for the client.

o Assist with the accounts payable function.

o Assisting with the production of the Timesheet and the Labour file and sending these to one of the Stakeholders.

o Management and reconciliation of the age creditors report.

o Assist with Budgeting, Forecasting and management Accounts production.

o Liaising with the various teams/departments to prepare budgets, management accounts and forecasting information.

o Assist with the production of the relevant commentaries where required.

o Assist with van stock valuation and inventory management.

o Supporting the Commercial (Finance) Manager with financial year end and audit.

o Assist with the management of a fixed asset register

o Cash flow forecasting

o Production and preparation of management reports where required.

o Assist with the management and reconciliation of the petty cash and credit card purchases.

o Contribute to the improvement of systems and processes in the organisation.

o Supporting with Ad hoc finance projects when available

o Any other duties as assigned by the Commercial (Finance) Manager.


The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally be studying towards ACCA or CIMA
  • Have their own transport or live locally within Tunbridge Wells
  • Have intermediate Excel skills
  • Ideally have Housing Association experience- although this is not essential.
