Join the largest Further Education College in the UK as our new Ambassador for Inclusion on a permanent, part time (14.8 hours per week) basis.

-Promote inclusion through learner voice, setting up and attending opportunities for learner opinions and suggestions to be heard, reporting on events across The Manchester College.
-Set up 1-1 interviews with learners and feeding back issues for improved inclusive learning and reporting on best practice across sites
-Attend marketing events, championing college programmes
-Be an Ambassador for the Supported Internship Programme during internal and external events.

The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest FE college in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners. The aim of this role is to promote The Manchester College through social media and events, meetings and contacts. Encouraging inclusion through learner voice, challenging barriers to learning and employment. Championing college programmes to learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

In order to do this, you will need:
-Direct experience of overcoming barriers to learning and challenges associated with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
-A positive outlook, enthusiastic and be motivated to succeed
-Friendly, approachable attitude yet able to be assertive and challenge stakeholders where required
-Reliable and committed to the role
-Ability to use assistive technologies to support communication of self and others
-Excellent understanding of social media
