Project Technician required by expanding company supplying Environmental Monitoring Systems to the pharmaceutical industry and NHS hospital trusts, based in Finchampstead, nr Wokingham / Camberley, Berkshire. Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and motivated Project Technician to assist the Project Engineers with the installation, commissioning and testing of hardware, software and electrical components for pharmaceutical environmental monitoring systems supplied by the company. The position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to progress to the role of Senior Technician and Project Engineer with further training and the achievement of suitable qualifications.

Responsibilities:
-Set-up of PC hardware and Windows Operating Systems.
-Assist with configuration of application software.
-Preparation of documents and drawings to support system design and testing.
-Assist with formal testing to verify the correct operation of application software.

Skills and Experience:
-Good practical aptitude is required together with a general interest in electronics and computing.
-A conscientious approach to work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
-A proactive and enthusiastic attitude together with the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as required.
-Qualifications to include GCSE Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above.
-Good numeric and written English skills are essential.
-PC literacy is an advantage, especially with experience of using MS Office software products.
-Some knowledge of electrical / electronic principles and practical experience of PC set-up is desirable.
-A clean full driving license would be an advantage but not essential.

You will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, and always in a professional and courteous manner. Duties will be carried out at the Head Office in Finchampstead and at customer sites across the UK. Short, weekday periods of working away from home may be required.
