Your new career will start with them as a Rolling Stock Technician where you will be able to demonstrate your abilities and potential at one of their busy depots where depth fault-finding and complex problem solving facilitate improvement to the performance and availability of the fleets.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You’re the ideal Rolling Stock Technician if you have superb fault-finding and analytical skills with a solid background of working on a range of rolling stock systems such as GSM-R, CCTV, Wi-Fi, driver monitoring, doors and HVAC.
A strong focus on safety and continuous improvement will be demonstrated in your knowledge of best practice processes and reliability improvement methodologies.
You should enjoy coaching and mentoring and be comfortable working on a shift basis to meet targets.
As a Rolling Stock Technician, you will be providing advanced technical support including fault-finding, repeat failure analysis, technical investigations and testing within a busy production environment.
You’ll work closely with the Production and Engineering Services management teams to report findings and provide solutions. You’ll lead by example with your commitment to adhering to safety and quality standards and take a proactive approach to coaching maintenance teams.
This is the ideal role for an ambitious individual who enjoys complex problem solving and collaborative working to achieve results.
For the role of Rolling Stock Technician, you will need to have a full apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. You’ll need to be safety critical certified and be able to pass a Network Rail standard medical to obtain your PTS.
