Casualty Wording Technician / Account Handler

Casualty Wording Technician - Account Handler
The role is for a solid Casualty Wordings Technician who is able to construct and prepare wordings from scratch and provide support and guidance to the Casualty Business.

·Construct/draft bespoke and standard Casualty wordings in conjunction with MRCs and Contract endorsements
·Provide assistance to the Broking team with preparing and drafting Casualty slips and endorsements for the market
·Maintain and update slip and wordings templates for use and maintain a specific wording database for Casualty classes of business
·Where required, negotiate and obtain agreement of Wordings from Underwriters
·Check and review wordings issued by Company markets
·Produce and circulate monthly renewal lists from Brokasure system and assist with following up renewals with the business to ensure everything is processed.
·Some Client contact and day to day account handling and processing responsibilities cradle to grave.

Essential Competencies
·A good understanding of the Casualty classes of business
·A sound knowledge of both Lloyds and Company market practices
·An understanding of regulatory controls and procedures relating to both commercial and retail customers.
·Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
·Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company.
·Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates.
·Work in support of other team colleagues.
·Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
