I am currently recruiting for a Java Developer to work with one of the UKs leading banks

The role is an initial 12 month contract and is paying between £250 and £300 per day

Please find below details of the role:

Technical Development (Design, Build) :

Accountable for endtoend system technical designs to understand impact on applications / products within domain.
Control changes to endtoend system designs to determine impact on applications / products within domain.
Develop all technical aspects of the requirement and changes to Barclaycard IT applications
Developing, Testing and implementing project using Java / J2EE technologies.
Understand the various phases of the software development lifecycle and methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, iterative
Collaborate and communicate with other developers to build technical solution.
Manage all software engineering quality standards / benchmarks.
Manage projects to budget, time and quality requirements. Document all work in accordance with agreed standards, and with reuse in mind.

Technical Skills:

Strong hands on experience of applications on Java(Jdk8) / J2EE. Version 8 is must.
Hands on Experience on Spring
Strong technical knowledge of Java middletier, serverside development using Spring, Hibernate/JPA is essential
Knowledge of SQL, Major RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
Knowledge of OO Designing and Programming Techniques and associated concepts, data modeling, Design Patterns
Knowledge of Rich UI Json, Jquery, AJAX, JavaScript etcExperience of Automated unit testing (e.g. JUnit) using mock object frameworks, understanding of standard messaging formats (e.g. FIX, XML, XSLT)
Knowledge of Configuration tools like perforce/ CVS
IDE RAD/ Eclipse, IntellJ
Knowledge of tools like Sonar, Jenkin, Jprofiler, Meven, GRADLE etc
Knowledge of continuous integration
Ability to work with an existing body of code (maintenance, feature additions, debugging, etc)
Good understanding of Test Driven Development.
