Project Manager (IT)Salary: Circa 51,000 DOE Full time/ Permanent Location: Cambridge, CambridgeshireMy client is looking to recruit an experienced, technically astute,Project Manager to join our team with a focus on delivering IT projectsin technology or application development. The ideal candidate will havea background in software development and/or maintenance, demonstrableproject management experience and a working knowledge of SAP isdesirable but not essential.Responsibilities of the role will include: Project Manager (IT)Cambridge, Cambridgeshire A key part of this role will involve working within a large scale SAPproject, employing your technical expertise to validate work estimates,suggest alternative solutions, and actively managing delivery efforts ofService Delivery Teams. Guiding project managers and developmentresources, managing inter-dependencies, risks, issues and communicationsacross stakeholders.Alongside this you will also have accountability for project delivery onassigned initiatives. This will involve: Project Manager (IT) Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Being the single accountable party for planning, orchestrating, anddelivering a given initiativeEnsuring end results are of the highest calibre with a clearlyarticulated scope and quantifiable business benefit Directly managing all aspects of the project life cycle and workingwith matrix IT partners to oversee all phases of a project Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved withinagreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters Validating financial forecasts and providing on-going reconciliation ofresources and other related project expenditures Developing communication plans and interfaces to execute onresponsibilities Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in routinely briefing keystakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives Representing the project in various project governance andinter-department forums Defining and tracking project milestones while developing, maintainingand reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan Developing the required project management artefacts Preparing periodic project status reportsKey Criteria: Project Manager (IT) Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Technical experience preferably gained in a previous IT softwaredevelopment or maintenance environment.
