*** New Product Development Manager - Global Luxury Food Retailer - Permanent - Mayfair, London - £35,000 - £40,000 per annum + excellent benefits and amazing company culture ***

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a Global Luxury Food Retailer for a NPD Manager to work in Mayfair, London.

This is a high end client with lovely offices and amazing opportunities to grow and further develop.

Purpose of the role:

Establish and deliver the product strategy year on year based on global development and insights in the market place, manage key stakeholders involved in developing new lines, line extension, product improvements measured against project objectives.

Role accountabilities (include but not limited to):

* Lead and develop the NPD cycle for all the UK whilst working with a variety of stakeholders across the global business
* Establish seasonal/emerging product strategy
* Working closely with the merchandising team to provide volume forecasts, key initiatives per channel, pricing and cost assumptions and contribute to post campaign analysis
* Create product concepts in line with brand and channel strategy Monitor and manage product range changes
* Evaluate competitor's activity as well as category performance for the specific NPD
* Compile information on trends, competition, sales, marketing surveys, external suppliers to help innovation; addressing new opportunities and consumer insights
* Lead UK project calls for regional projects
* Participate to (or lead for assigned projects) the entire NPD cycle working with different functions and teams
* Brief and work together with the different supporting teams and agencies on creating packaging, recipes etc.
* Support commercial team by providing all necessary information as part of the listing process
* Control budget for Product Development.


Skills, background, experience:

* Bachelor degree, preferably in Economics or Marketing or similar industry experience.
* Understanding of luxury products ranges / launches
* Proven experience within marketing experience (as in a competitive international marketing organisation, managing tactical/operational tasks)
* Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions and make decisions
* Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to set up solid cross-functional partnerships
* Effective communication in English with French preferable
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Entrepreneurial mind-set and results driven
* Eager to learn and open minded
* Flexible and with a passion for the brand
* International openness and cultural sensitivity
* Pragmatic and can manage both operational and strategical tasks
* Management and negotiation skills
