A new role of Javascript Application Developer has been createdto recognise the growing importance of this skill set. It is expectedthat successful candidates will either have existing skills in thisarea, or want to focus on developing this skill in the medium or longterm. In the case of the latter, a development program is beingdeveloped to provide appropriate learning and development opportunitiesto successful candidates in this exciting and quickly changing area. TheJavascript Application Developer (JAD) will typically work alongside aCreative Service's Front End Developer (FED) to develop attractive andexemplary applications which will set them apart from our competitors.Key Responsibilities Software Developer responsible development of maintainable rich Javascript HTML 5 Applications Responsible for developing code that is well structured,has consistent style, unit and regression tested (using frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Protractor etc). Integration of capabilities developed in structural web application frameworks such as Angular.js into RESTful web services Development of Javascript based capabilities hosted in server side technologies (such as Node.js), potential in an isomorphic manner Close and collaborative engagement with Creative Services to realise an integrated capability using screens developed by a Creative Service's Front End Developer Security Clearance is required for this vacancy.
