Product Manager - Video Technology


Our creative client is well established, expanding and friendly. They are experts in their field who truly value their staff.

They are looking for someone who will take overall responsibility for their video technology product lines. You will need to have a strong product knowledge in this area as you will be the main point of contact for video technology across all areas of the business, while supporting sales and marketing teams with product and market knowledge.

You will have excellent communication skills, be proactive with an enthusiasm for the product range. The ability to operate strategically and operationally at all levels is a vital skill for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a strong product knowledge point of contact for video technology across the business.
  • Create and maintain core positioning and messaging for your products
  • Work with business development manager and marketing team to implement and drive key strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborating with key vendors to effectively foresee and respond to industry trends
  • Work with the sales and procurement function to negotiate pricing and business terms
  • Work closely with procurement to manage product sourcing, pricing and lead time management.
  • Analysis of demand patterns for stock planning
  • Close management of product lifecycle
  • Analyse supply chain and market information
  • To establish a comprehensive understanding of the strengths and weaknesses within your specific product area at all times.

Key Requirements:

  • Preferable higher education qualification in media, film or broadcast related areas or related experience.
  • Preferable experience in a product management, inventory planning, stock management or having some procurement responsibilities.
  • Understanding of technical aspect of broadcast products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to pick up and communicate product information quickly and accurately.
  • IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
