Interim Head of Digital Marketing


GBP 60 to GBP 70k (Contract to Perm)

My client, an independent financial content solutions provider is looking for an Interim Head of Digital Marketing, 3 to 6 months FTC to perm.

We are searching for a talented Head of Marketing to join an exciting business based in London. You will be responsible developing and executing an exceptional marketing strategy to scale up this mission-driven business. Main responsibilities

Managing a team of two and assist in the responsibility for the day-today running of all digital platform providers and digital reporting platforms including: BrightCove, Teads, AdYouLike, brand website and company website, Google analytics, Double click, Traffic Rich (trafficking agency used for ad delivery)
Manage the responsible for the daily implementation and distribution of all client advertising both online and email advertising with assistance from one digital executive
Work closely and support commercial director, head of production, and head of events for of any new digital content platforms being implemented
Stress test all new digital products launching
Work in conjunction with subscriptions and CRM manager on any joint platform workflows and data required for team reporting and team projects
Regularly audit and manage the efficiency of all digital products - make recommendations for improvements/ additional staff training / development and feedback to internal stakeholders as and when required
Educate, communicate and provide appropriate relevant digital marketing messaging and training to sales team/editorial on digital changes and functionalities that will affect their role
Monthly and weekly reporting on digital stats and performance of sites of popular content, user behaviour and advertising performance
Management of budgeted spend in conjunction with head of marketing with external suppliers` vs forecast to ensure timely project delivery and any unforeseen overspend
Performance management, coaching, resourcing and training and development for one direct report - digital executive


Experience managing a team.
Knowledge on trafficking systems and techniques (DFP, MOAT, Double click)
5 to 7 years` experience in a business to business environment with knowledge of technology platforms, market trends, systems and industry benchmarks
Understanding of the sales process, knowing how to innovate and recommend revenue opportunities with sales
Strong knowledge of CMS systems including and not limited to WordPress
Management of third party suppliers and an understanding on web and ad tech development and project management techniques
Basic knowledge of HTML
Understanding on viewability, deliverability and best practices around advertising are crucial
Strong analytical skills and ability to create reports in Google Analytics
