Our client is one of the UK?s largest colleges employing more than 1450 staff in over five campuses, all conveniently located in North East Wales, offering easy accessibility from within North Wales, Shropshire, Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire.

They are looking for a self-confident, creative and imaginative individual to join their dynamic teaching team as a Lecturer in Agriculture at their Llysfasi campus.

Displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment, you will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students? work, liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. Whilst acting as a personal tutor, providing educational guidance, support and counselling for all students, you will liaise with tutors from other business areas with regard to resources, curriculum development, student reports and other related matters, and complete and produce documentation such as registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation and student reports.

You will be qualified to at least Level 5 in a relevant specialist subject area and possess or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE or City & Guilds 7407. With knowledge and experience of working within the commercial agricultural industry, ideally with an agricultural business management specialism, you will be able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice and be a dedicated team player who can establish effective working relationships.

With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will have knowledge of a broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment and demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area. You should be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and new ideas.

The ability to speak fluent Welsh is essential.

A DBS Disclosure will be requested from the successful applicant being offered the position and you will also be required to register with the Education Workforce Council.
