DevOps Engineer | Bristol | up to £60,000 + benefits and bonus

A great new opportunity for a DevOps Engineer has recently arisen in a leading Software development house based in the heart of Bristol.

Ideally you will be currently working as an application software engineer or an operations engineer, developing and deploying automation and configuration management scripts to optimise the build process using standard development processes.

Some of your main responsibilities will be automating the application of all changes during the build and deployment process to ensure that builds are shipped in a functional state within agreed timescales in line with company standards and policies.

Ideally you will have knowledge of:

*Automation concepts involving configuration as code and continuous deployment.
*Source control tools such as Git
*Continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins, TFS, Octopus Deploy, etc. Software configuration management and deployment tools such as Ansible, Terraform.
*Knowledge of artefact repositories such as Artefactory, Nexus, etc.
*Deployment of applications to IaaS/PaaS cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
*Scripting, Testing and build languages such as RSpec, PowerShell, MSBuild, JSON, etc.

If you have any of the additional experiences below that would be beneficial to your application or maybe you would like to learn more about the following skills.

*Installing and administrating Windows Server 2008 / 2012, Linux distributions.
*Virtualization systems such as VMWare 2012
*Use of Agile tracking tools such as Rally, Jira, etc.
*A basic understanding of network and security configurations.
*To create and work effectively with structured documentation as well as write quality documentation from notes preferably including diagramming software.
*Demonstrate the ability to work as part of an agile team as well as on your own and with remote teams.
*Supporting software development teams who use standard software engineering languages e.g. C#, .net 4.5 (or earlier), Java, XML, Front end languages such as Angular.
*Containerisation technology such as Docker, etc.
