Leading Bristol based law firm with a strong reputation built on developing genuine client relationships and its exceptional people is seeking a highly efficient Paraplanner to join their team highly motivated team. This is a brand new, unique role within this prestigious law firm offering a diverse range of duties to include working with families, case managers and local authorities to ensure the financial affairs of family members who cannot manage their own finances are properly managed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive, professional services team who are passionate about what they do. You will be able to utilise your knowledge of financial services, your commonsense approach, budgeting skills and top-notch IT skills in order to best serve the Clients? interests.

As a Paraplanner, you will be super organized and be interested in supporting the Attorney/Deputy in all areas of a Clients? Financial Affairs and will relish the opportunity to help clients and take ownership of tasks within this new exciting and highly rewarding role.

The Paraplanner will be required to:

  • Work closely with the Attorney/Deputy to support Clients? Financial affairs through power of attorney
  • Deal with day to day administration of a Client?s affairs
  • Liaise with IFA?s, Investment Houses, Pension Providers etc. on Clients? behalf
  • Complete Tax returns on Clients? behalf
  • Manage and track income, outgoings, budgets on Clients? behalf
  • Running Clients? household finances
  • Identify warning signs of unusual/out of character spending and escalate where appropriate
  • Support the Attorney with other Client related duties as per required including areas such as care, benefits, insurance etc

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Ideally Financial Planning (CII) Level 4 or Diploma in Financial Planning qualified (or working towards)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills ? comfortable using Excel for tracking/logging
  • Experience of cashflow modelling tool
  • Good communication skills ? liaison with clients, dealing effectively with queries from clients and other parties, helping to promote positive relations at all times
  • Good literacy and numeracy
