Optoelectronics Test Engineer required to join product testing team in leading developer of optoelectronic device and optical fibre sensors. This is a product testing and troubleshooting role and requires candidates who have experience in testing of optoelectronic assemblies and systems. For this optoelectronics test engineer you should have a degree in a related technical field - Physics, Optoelectronics, Photonics or similar and a basic knowledge of fibre optic distributed sensing technology. This optoelectronics test engineer role will join a small team to create and maintain product assembly and test procedures and work with customers and colleagues to ensure the optoelectronic products are properly tested and debugged before use. The devices are used in the oil and gas, telecommunications and engineering industries - any commercial experience in these fields would be of particular interest You should have strong communication skills and a good knowledge of software and tools such as Matlab, Labview, Zemax. Candidates with a MSc in PhD in Optoelectronics, Physics or Photonics would be of interest if their research - commercial experience includes the testing of optoelectronic assemblies and systems.
