Infrastructure & Network Engineer !!!
Infrastructure & Network Engineer with strong 2nd/3rd line technical support working knowledge is urgently required to work for a leading high street retailer.
You will be responsible for managing the existing infrastructure hardware. This will include routers, servers, both physical and virtual, arrays, email, and cloud technologies.
You will have previous hands on knowledge of managing I T systems such as backups, system monitoring, software updates, server clean up tasks, AD housekeeping and security activities.
You will also have previous hands on knowledge of Installing new hardware and technologies as they become available. You will also manage cloud technologies including Office 365, Mimecast, web portals and other file transfer mechanisms and perform 2nd and 3rd line IT support activities, such as logging all calls within the IT Service Desk system and covering the Service Desk when required.
You will have previous knowledge of managing projects, providing project plans, technical input/solutions and producing regular updates.
You will have 2-3 years proven experience within an IT environment, ideally within a fast-paced retail or multi-site space. Key to this role is understanding IT Infrastructure concepts used in dispersed organisations, such as IP networking, AD, DNS, group policies and Office 365. You will also be familiar with IT hardware such as routers, physical and virtual server environments and understand the need of a secure IT environment.
You will be CCNA qualified and have an awareness of ITIL principles. You will have the ability and confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business. and have excellent telephone manner and verbal and written communication skills.
