Our clients are experts in the design and development of electronic products for a broad range of industry sectors achieving electronic design objectives and bringing new products to market, providing outstanding customer service and sector specific expertise in electronic system design, prototyping services, mechanical design and small batch production.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Software Engineer to assist with continuing growth working on a number live projects for a variety of customers, developing and designing systems geared towards revolutionising a huge range of industry sectors.

The Senior Software Engineer will be able to prioritise their workload, seek excellence through high quality workmanship and actively mentor and support fellow team members, enabling best practice, the continual improvement of the company?s design services, be hard-working, knowledgeable and driven, with the ability to work alongside the wider teams within the business to ensure projects are delivered both on-time and in-budget.

EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant degree and 5 years? relevant experience or 8 years relevant experience
  • 5 years low level embedded C development experience.
  • Experience with full product development life cycle.
  • Familiarity with microprocessor architectures and peripherals (Ideally Microchip)
  • Experience in board level driver development in particular with various serial protocols (i.e UART, I2C, SPI).
  • Experience with developing OTA comms protocols. (i.e Command Interfaces, Bootloaders).
  • Experience with managing software version control methods.
  • Deliver relevant software design documentation throughout the development life cycle. Use standard software design tools to illustrate software designs. (i.e UML, flow charts, Hierarchy diagrams)
  • Some experience with PC application development. Microsoft Visual Studio C# / C++
  • Actively support and train engineers.
  • Have a deep knowledge of:
    • Hardware design (schematics, PCB layout)
    • Production (assembly, functional and system testing)
  • Have a deep understanding of legacy and current systems
