Job Title: Project Manager Permanent / Full Time Salary: 37,800 - 51,000 dependent on experience Location: Cambridge What its about We are looking to recruit an experienced, technically astute, ProjectManager to join our team with a focus on delivering IT projects intechnology or application development. The ideal candidate will have abackground in software development and/or maintenance, demonstrableproject management experience and a working knowledge of SAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Project Manager to playan active part in responding to business initiatives, proposing andnegotiating appropriate ways to address problems. What youll be doing A key part of this role will involve working within a large scale SAPproject, employing your technical expertise to validate work estimates,suggest alternative solutions, and actively managing delivery efforts ofService Delivery Teams. Guiding project managers and development resources, managinginter-dependencies, risks, issues and communications across stakeholders. Alongside this you will also have accountability for project deliveryon assigned initiatives. This will involve: Being the single accountable party for planning, orchestrating, anddelivering a given initiative Ensuring end results are of the highest calibre with a clearlyarticulated scope and quantifiable business benefit Directly managing all aspects of the project life cycle and workingwith matrix IT partners to oversee all phases of a project Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved withinagreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters Validating financial forecasts and providing on-going reconciliationof resources and other related project expenditures Developing communication plans and interfaces to execute onresponsibilities Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in routinely briefing keystakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives Representing the project in various project governance andinter-department forums Defining and tracking project milestones while developing,maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan Developing the required project management artefacts Preparing periodic project status reports What were looking for Technical experience preferably gained in a previous IT developmentor maintenance environment Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and keystakeholders and mobilize and motivate the teams Set direction and approach; resolve conflict Proven experience of stakeholder management A focused and versatile team player and comfortable working under pressure The ability to successfully communicate at all levels with clarityand precision The ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete theirobjectives Proven experience of establishing and delivering projects alongsidestrong presentation skills Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Core project management skills Knowledge and expertise in the use of project managementmethodologies and tools This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader and berewarded with valuable learning opportunities, a competitive salary and benefits.
