IT Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Line Support) - Stevenage - £140 - £150 per day

My client has an urgent requirement for an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer who is able to provide remote and deskside support to internal business users across a multi-site environment. The role will be primarily located in Stevenage with frequent travel to a second location in Hertfordshire.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of utilising industry best practice and able to provide excellent customer service at all times. You will be required to complete service requests, adhere to departmental SLA's as well as assisting project teams with hardware, software, server and network support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support to business users (including VIP/C Level)
  • Install, troubleshoot and resolve problems on laptops, desktops, printers, smart devices and telephony equipment
  • Support applications across Legacy and current versions of Windows Operating system
  • Support VPN clients, Citrix and bespoke software.
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows Server
  • Network Support
  • Hands-on support for local backup systems (physical troubleshooting, change tapes, restores and monitoring).
  • Management of incidents and service requests on company call logging tool

Key Skills Required:

  • 3 - 5 years' experience of technical support in a Windows environment.
  • VIP Support (essential)
  • ITIL awareness
  • Experience supporting bespoke applications
  • Smart and presentable with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting Smart devices such as MS Surface Pro and IPad/Mobile devices.
  • Driving license and car are essential as you will be required to spend approximately two days a week at a second location in Hertfordshire.
