Redmill Consulting’s prestigious client is currently looking for a Finance Operations Manager for an exciting contact position. This role will ideally suit a skilled Manager who is hand-on in their approach with a good understanding of controls. Candidates should be skilled in managing a varied team with an understanding of process improvement. JOB As Finance Operations Manager you will have the opportunity to be involved with the following: • Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will provide strategic finance leadership & direction in relation to all of the core transaction processing activities this will include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll/Pensions & Treasury • Managing the teams responsible for the provision of the above • Developing & delivering departmental strategy, policy & operational plans • Ensuring that accounts, financial processes & accounting systems have appropriate reconciliations, checks & controls in place to ensure robustness, integrity & conformity to regulations, standards & policies • Optimising improvements to the working capital position through effective leadership of cash, aged creditors & debtors • Producing cash flow forecasts, including a rolling 5 year detailed cash flow • Liaising with bankers & holding a detailed understanding of the structure & content of the loan & bank account portfolio • Leading strategic improvements to the efficiency & effectiveness of both the finance operations processes & controls but also to the end to end processes that these support. This will include effective metrics reporting, process mapping & responsibility definition & reinforcement, system development & improving & developing & coordinating cross process initiatives YOU You will be skilled and/or qualified in the following: • Being a Qualified Accountant is essential • Demonstrable experience of managing a finance team in a large, complex organisation • Demonstrable experience of managing a large team containing experienced professionals would be strongly preferred • Hands on in your approach with a strong knowledge of transactional processes • Skilled in liaising with, managing & influencing stakeholders with a range of experience and personalities • Degree qualification would be highly preferable • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are vital to this role • Strong IT skills Should this role be of interest please apply by attaching your most up to date CV.
