We manufacture in excess of 400 products including bricks, blocks, roof tiles and pavers for the homebuilding and renovation markets.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Concrete Technologist to be the companies UK leading expert in concrete materials science and concrete roof tile manufacturing process technology.
To drive development in all of the companies concrete production factories in striving towards becoming an industry leader in process control technology, product development and output capability.To eventually set up and manage a concrete Technical department covering materials development, quality assurance and a laboratory function in the concrete division.
Main Duties: ·
To drive and deliver process improvements in the manufacture of concrete roof tiles.·Optimise process and curing on existing lines.·Interface with Wienerberger Group counterparts at other plants worldwide, to ensure alignment with the group.·Be active and foster a continuous improvement culture within the department.
Degree in a materials science, manufacturing or engineering discipline Minimum of 2 years production/process management experience working in the concrete manufacturing industry or for an equipment supplier Tangible results of process development success in the concrete industry Project Management skills Excellent communication skills Ability to travel around the UK on a regular basis and to overseas locations on a more infrequent basis
Member of the institute of concrete technology with at least 5 years CPD.
