3RD Line Infrastructure Support Engineer 38,000 - 43,000 per annum Southampton 3RD Line Infrastructure Support Engineer required by a market leading company based in Southampton. The successful 3RD Line Infrastructure Support Engineer will be an instrumental member of the team and will work closely with the IT Manager in a varied support role covering but not limited to networking, VMWare and exchange. You will also have the experience and ability to mentor 1st and 2nd line engineers. This role will also require onsite visits within the UK (South) so it is essential that you have your own vehicle and driving licence. The role offers progression prospects and an opportunity to make an impact within the company. Key Responsibilities; Key senior member in technical projects Maintain the reliability & performance of the IT Infrastructure Manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion Deploy and manage Virtual IT infrastructures, including: Servers, desktops, switches, LAN's, WAN's etc Develop and mentor junior engineers Liaise, develop and maintain strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers Key experience: Experience of working in 3rd line infrastructure support (dealing with escalated calls) Mentoring 1st and 2nd line engineers Experience of most of the following: VMWare / Hyper V Exchange Server Networking (TCP/IP Protocols) Windows Server 2008 / 2012/2016 Active Directory Group Policy Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally to other sites (Ad hoc) Any experience in the following areas would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite; ITIL processes SUSE (Unix) CCNA, CCA or MCSA qualified Experience of Agile methodology or Prince2 This is an opportunity to join a highly successful organisation offering progression prospects and a chance to make a difference.
