Are you the SQL Developer who provides performant databases to help usdrive through the roadmap for our suite of products; transforming themfrom on-premise applications to a SaaS solutions? We are looking for an experienced & passionate database developer,driven to provide quality, performant data solutions for enterprise andcloud solutions. The candidate is expected to have a thoroughunderstanding of SQL databases and its support of web architecture, aswell as knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling and Data Warehouses. Day-to-day responsibilities of this role include creating andmaintaining scalable and high-performing data structures, definingefficient application interfaces and offering solutions that scalevertically & horizontally. Our technology stack makes use of MSSQL,C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript. You will work within our Product Development team in our Canterburyoffice to deliver scalable, beautiful products primarily to our DataWarehouse customers. The successful candidate will also use theirexperience to provide best practice recommendations to other productteams using SQL Server. You will have a passion for making SQL databases 'sing' and for helpingother developers share that passion and best practice. You will workclosely with the Head of Development, the Head of Software Architectureand an existing team of developers & testers distributed across the UK. Skills and Experience: Your job responsibilities as a SQL Developer at Access Your main responsibility is to deliver an awesome Data Warehouse product to our customers, making their lives easier, safer and more predictable You will gain a thorough understanding of the software, its users and our development team so you can make changes to the code - or add new code - to make the solution even better You will take pride in making your code readable, efficient, testable & reusable, and will test it thoroughly before making ready for our QA testers You will debug and optimize the performance of a high traffic, multi-tier web application You will review SQL written by team members and provide best practice recommendations You will create data layers and programming for Data Warehouse and provide ETL/ELT guidance to its providers/consumers What qualifications make you our ideal SQL Developer? You will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related technical field, or equivalent experience You will have at least 5 years demonstrable experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, creating schemas, queries and procedures in the context a full web application stack You have a thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, Microsoft IIS, and SQL Server Experience creating Extract - Transform - Load (ETL) routines for Data Warehouse and Data Marts Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tooling to use data gathered from a Data Warehouse would be advantageous You are eager to learn new concepts and apply acquired knowledge in practice You have advanced experience of writing stored procedures, reading query plans, tuning indexes and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks Troubleshooting and resolving database issues such as integrity, performance, replication, connectivity, recovery and security. Problem solving, analytical and communication abilities Database development technology tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio for SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). As an experienced developer, you will be proficient with code versioning tools such as Git/TFS/SVN, and with process management tooling such as JIRA, Visual Studio & Slack - provided by Dice ASP, ASP.NET, BI, C#, CLOUD, COMPUTER SCIENCE, DEGREE, ETL, HTML5, IIS, JAVASCRIPT, JIRA, MICROSOFT, PROCESS MANAGEMENT, QA, REPLICATION, SAAS, SQL, SQL SERVER, SQL SERVER INTEGRATION SERVICES, SQL SERVER REPORTING SERVICES, VISUAL STUDIO
