An established electrical and mechanical contractors based in the south side of Glasgow are currently recruiting an experienced Finance Manager. This is a full-time position, although part-time hours may be considered, with all-round experience of the following required; Preparation of month end accounts to trial balance Weekly payroll and workplace pension Manual Cash Book and cheque runs Manual bank reconciliation Manual Vat reconciliation and quarterly return Reconciliation of HMRC payments including CIS returns Processing and reconciliation of purchase ledger including supplier payments Job costing and sales invoicing Short term cash forecasting Other adhoc accounting and admin duties The main requirements of this role will be; The ability to work unsupervised whilst adhering to deadlines Have proven levels of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of Pegasus Opera and Sage Payroll is preferable Good understanding of Microsoft Excel You shall be reporting directly to the directors of the business and expected to liaise with its external accountants. A candidate with experience of working in the construction sector would be desirable. Salary negotiable dependant on experience
