Job Title: Triage Technician

Location: Coventry

Reporting to: Repair Centre Team Leader

Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 40hrs per week - Mon - Sun 07:00 - 20:00

Role Overview

To Clean, Triage and box customer equipment. To diagnose faults and repair products in line with customer requirements. To ensure repair centre system is updated accurately and is a true reflection of work carried out.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Clean Equipment
  • Quality Assurance check against customer reports to ensure stock integrity
  • To re package equipment sufficiently to prevent damage
  • To Manifest all Beyond Economical Repair items
  • To maintain a clean working area in and around Repair Centre
  • Diagnosis faults with printers being returned from field technicians
  • Ensure first time fix in line with agreed quality standard
  • Final testing of repaired items
  • Update repair centre system of fault and repair activity carried out
  • Ensure daily output is in line with agreed targets
  • Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Effective team-working with other members of the team

Skills and Experience required

Essential:

  • Previous experience of basic repair of IT equipment
  • Good analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Manual dexterity and experience of using hand tools
  • High level of productivity
  • Hands-on approach

Desirable:

  • Understanding of other repair technologies
