What's the role?
As Head of Product, you will lead on all aspects of product management of the current and future portfolio, managing a team of product managers to successfully deliver key targets. You will provide the leadership and decision making for the team, with responsibility for achievement of key customer, commercial and operational initiatives either directly or through working effectively with other members of the Retail Telecoms team.
Ideally you'll be a Fixed Line telecoms expert who has a deep level of industry knowledge and is able to use and share that knowledge to enhance business performance and develop the wider team. Furthermore, you will use your strong market knowledge and ability to utilise market data to inform decision making on product and vendor prioritisation; holding full budgetary control.
And of course, you'll understand the customer journey, product rules and processes and will put service at the forefront of your team's delivery.
Your team will be at the centre of us achieving our retail telecoms ambition so you'll need to inject leadership, passion, energy, insight, pace and rigour to drive our business forward.
We need someone with a proven successful leadership background within the telecoms industry. You will be an expert in fixed line telecoms and ideally will have worked in an environment with experience in applying Lean or Agile working practices.
As Head of Product it's essential that you can develop robust business cases, proposals supported with financial data to demonstrate a clear view of your strategic planning and execution journey.
Other key requirements include:
- Credible track record of product delivery with retail telecoms
- Experience of business change and management of key change programmes within an agile or lean environment
- Experience in supporting transformation of IT system architecture
- Customer experience mapping, redesign and implementation
- Ownership and delivery of assurance and compliance
- Strong leadership experience, a real passion for people.
