Job Title: Sales and Marketing Director Location: Edinburgh/National Context Capita's Digital and Software Solutions division makes up the second largest software company in the UK. DSS provides software products to a wide variety of customers in the UK and beyond. Barrachd have been part of Capita since 2015 and was founded in 2007. There's an enviable list of clients from global whisky firms to financial services giants spread across the UK and beyond. We're looking for an experienced software Sales and Marketing Director who can help to drive forward the Barrachd business across new and existing software products, business and data analytics services and major client projects. Role Duties Plan, lead and implement the organisation's sales and marketing plans and forecasts Develop the commercial team to fit with strategic plans and help them to meet growth targets Work with DSS senior management to partner with the rest of Capita's software businesses to promote Barrachd's products and capabilities Lead on key new business opportunities across public and private sectors Develop strategic sales business plans across multiple years with revenue growth and expansion of sales activities Enhance / develop sales processes to maximise opportunities while delivering visibility and accountability across the team Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations As an experienced Sales and Marketing Director, it is expected that you will be able to demonstrate: Proven sales leadership experience in Senior Sales leadership roles, consistently meeting or exceeding targets with continued revenue growth Proven and demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organisation Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close covering all aspects of sales operations and accurate forecasting Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of software products and services and position them against competitors Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions Proven sales leadership experience, marketing and selling new products to both public and private sector organisations Experience in the creation and execution of Go-to-Market plans for products and solutions Experience in the development of alliances and partnerships and creation/ building of new channels to market Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills Sales leadership experience combined with operational and general management experience with cross-functional experience would be a distinct advantage Follow Capita on twitter @capitacareersFollow Capita on facebook @careersatcapita Capita Resourcing welcome applications from all suitably qualified people regardless of gender, race, disability, age or sexual orientation.
