C# Developer - Lancaster, £37,000

My client are an established software house, who specialise in producing high quality, valuable and efficient software solutions for the Education market. This is an exciting time to join them and play a key role as they embark on the next stage of their journey.

The Role

You will be involved in crafting and maintaining enterprise level software that reaches out to every part of this companies' industry and audience.

Using aspects of Scrum methodology, the role will include analysis, design, writing of specifications and documentation, developing testing scripts and procedures, writing and maintaining source code and customer support as required.

It goes without saying that you will have a strong technical background with commercial experience of:

  • C#
  • SQL Server
  • ASP.NET

As they are currently developing the next generation of their software, any experience of Xamarin is an advantage. However, candidates with a keen interest in learning Xamarin are also encouraged to apply.

With a sound working knowledge of design principles, frameworks, patterns and multi-tiered architecture, you will also bring with you an aptitude for problem-solving and a natural curiosity for how things work and how they can be improved.

You will be comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team and will have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively and clearly explain things in a way which is easily understood by others.

What can they offer me?

As well as a friendly and relaxed working environment where the development team dress down every day of the week, we offer our teams the chance to work on international products that are improving the way our customers manage their data. When we ask our employees what they like most about the company, they always say the people - so you will be in good company!

They believe in giving their developers the tools they need to do the job so you will have full access to e-learning resources, with dedicated time to learn on the job.

In addition to a competitive salary, a pension, private medical insurance, life assurance and childcare vouchers plus the opportunity to buy or sell annual leave will be available to you.

So, if you are up for the challenge, please apply today by completing our simple application form and attaching your CV and covering letter of application.

Sanderson is an equal opportunities employer.
