Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a leading retail company South East of Lincoln. This is a long established highly successful growing family run business.
Your new role
The role has arisen as the company's Finance Manager is going on maternity leave in January and therefore the company are looking to recruit cover for approximately 11 months to start before Christmas.
Reporting to the company Directors and working alongside 1 other member of staff who takes responsibility for sales/purchase ledger and credit control, the role is varied and will see you responsible for accounts to trial balance, VAT returns, monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasting as well as covering holiday and busy periods on ledgers and credit control.
The Directors will take responsibility for the most senior aspects of finance along with the firm of Accountants.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need recent and proven accounts experience gained in an SME environment, have reasonable Excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems (full training will be given - not Sage based). You will be available at short notice to start and be living in a close commute of the Lincoln area.
The office hours are ideally 8.30-5 but there may be a little flexibility but end of the day and early in the morning are busy times in the office because of deliveries and returns.
