Are you looking to work in a fast moving, dynamic and evolving businessbased in Exeter? An exciting, high-growth SME is looking for an experienced DevOps andInfrastructure Engineer who will play a leading role in maintainingexceptional service levels for this provider of market leading softwaresolutions to the vehicle sales market. Core responsibilities include thedeployment and management of both pre-production and live platforms andapplications, assisting the development teams in building up aneffective release workflow, and ensuring the health and stability ofcritical systems. You'll also manage their internal systems and ensurethat the development teams have the tools to do their jobs. You'll be leading this new function within the business, and as such,will be a strong self-starter, with a vision, and passion to keep up todate with new trends within the DevOps arena. Working alongside scrum teams in an AGILE development environment, it'sessential that you have good communication skills, strong attention todetail, and are able to meet deadlines. Required Skills & Experience - 2+ years' experience managing virtualised and physicalinfrastructure. Bonus points for specific knowledge of UKFast (existinghosting provider) and Azure - DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptimeenvironment, including automation experience with configurationmanagement tools - Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Chef / Powershell) andautomation skills - Experience administrating version control systems such as TFS / GIT - Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools andsolutions (e.g. Pingdom) - Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve complexinfrastructure resource and application deployment issues - Servers: Experienced in the deployment / configuration andmaintenance of IIS webserver - Hardware: Confident in the installation of hardware upgrades - Operating Systems: Advanced Windows administration, including active directory - Remote Administration: Experience supporting users through remoteadministration tools such as remote desktop Desired Skills (not essential but beneficial to have): - Software Programming Skills such as C# - DB administration experience (MS SQL Server) - Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies - Understanding network topologies and common network protocols andservices (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP) - provided by Dice ACTIVE DIRECTORY, AGILE, AGILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT, AZURE, C#, CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT, DNS, FTP, IIS, POWERSHELL, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, SCRUM, SMTP, SQL, SQL SERVER, SSH, WINDOWS, WORKFLOW
