PHP Web Developer
You will play a key part in the development & maintenance of existing systems and applications along with general day to day technical operations for this Media agency. The role requires an in depth knowledge of developing web applications and websites with the ability manage & develop full life-cycle projects.
My client and exiting and fast growing Media house are located in the heart of central Birmingham with great access from a number of train stations.
As the PHP Web Developer you will play a key part in the development & maintenance of existing systems and applications along with general day to day technical operations. The role requires an in depth knowledge of developing web applications and websites with the ability manage & develop full life-cycle projects.
You should be able to switch between back end and front end development and be able to develop features quickly. Solutions-driven and with an eye for detail, you will have a natural interest in the latest digital and social innovations.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Web Application development & maintenance
- Ideas generation and project scoping
- Technical design and documentation
- General ad hoc technical support
You should enjoy a diversity of work and being a bit of an 'all-rounder' with a proactive approach to developing the best solutions. You should also be flexible in order to work and liaise with some of our international offices where required. In addition to this, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be collaborative and naturally super organised.
Core Technical skills required for this PHP Web Developer postion:
- Solid PHP experience using MVC frameworks
- Experience extending and theming content management systems such as WordPress
- Version Control
- Experience with Linux command line
Any practical experience of the following would be a distinct advantage:
- CakePHP (Version 2 and/or Version 3)
- CSS Frameworks such as SASS/LESS
- Mobile App development
This PHP Web Developer role based in Birmingham is on offer with a salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 dependant upon skill set and experience.
