Lead Data Scientist / Data Developer - Python / Big Data

We currently have a Lead Data Scientist role available for a retail agency based in central london. We are looking for a Data scientist with experience in Python and big data and has ideally lead other data scientist previously.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of all phases of the analytic process including data collection, preparation, modelling, evaluation, and insight generation.
  • expertise in the use of machine learning and statistical techniques deep learning, data mining,
  • Ideally previously led a small Data Science team
  • Experience working for a retail company on the client or agency side desirable

Skill Set:

  • Python or equivalent.
  • Data Mining /Machine Learning
  • Data extraction -JSON, XML
  • data manipulation - SQL based databases
  • Big Data experience
  • cloud technologies - Apache Hadoop (including HBase, Hive, Mahout and Pig) , Amazon Web Services / Google Big Query and Google Cloud Platform
  • Tableau (Preferred), d3.js, gephi
  • Text Mining , Natural Language Processing
  • NoSQL (MongoDB / Neo4J)

Nice to have:

  • knowledge of digital analytic solutions including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and BrandWatch preferred
  • knowledge extraction and graph theory are also highly desirable
