Our client, an International Bank based in London are looking to recruit a Trade Finance Officer. You will be responsible for the operational management of trade finance transactions in support of a dedicated trade finance relationship manager through involving: communication with a dedicated head office department for processing of trade transactions, communication with end users and first pair of eyes for checking of documentation

Main responsibilities will include;

* Open and process documentary credits, negotiate export bills, examine the relevant documents taking note of any discrepancy
* Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements for underlying transactions (AML / dual goods etc.).
* Liaise with customers for all trade related transactions.
* Liaise with Head Office (HO) for all Back Office support as per SLA between LON Branch
* Advise customers on trade related transactions
* Process inward and outward bills for collection and periodical review of all outstanding collections
* Handle all reimbursements and remittances relating to wholesale banking
* Assist in the preparation of all reports to the FCA, LON Branch and HO and any other relevant authority
* Assist in other areas of the Bank as and when required by the Head of Wholesale Banking
* Reporting and monitoring of trade finance exposure
* Reconciliation with HO of trade finance exposure
* Dealing with day to Day client queries

To be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills;

* Chartered Institute of Trade Finance Qualification (CITF) or similar required
* Excellent command of written and spoken English
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
* An able team player
* Ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise work
* Accurate organized individual, flexible and happy to undertake any task in support of the team members and thus the client
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Should have a positive can do attitude combined with a flexible approach to the tasks required
