Kofax Technical Consultant Main Job Purpose: As a leading member of the Professional Services Team, the Technical Consultant role incorporates a wide variety of activities and responsibility in delivering complex technical solutions. Working closely with the Project Manager to specify and deliver projects, the Consultants act as technical lead and coordinate with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. The role incorporates functional and non-functional design, implementation, testing and creating project documentation. In addition pre-sales support is provided to the Sales team, and third line escalation support to the Customer Support team.A high level of technical knowledge of a variety of software applications is required, with relevant certifications being maintained for new product releases. Reports To:Professional Services Manager Skills Set Required:-Kofax Certified Consultant (KC3)-Kofax Capture-Kofax Transformation Modules-Able to do Scripting in both of the above-Basic knowledge of SQL (interfacing with)-Basic knowledge of document management systems (eg SharePoint/FileNet/Documentum) Nice to have:-Kofax Total Agility-Kofax Import Connector-Kofax Analytics/Kofax Insight-Kofax Monitor-.Net development with experience of custom modules, wofklow agents and export connectors-SQL-ABBYY FlexiCaptureDuties and Responsibilities:*Working closely with the Project Manager and following project controls, act as technical lead for projects taking responsibility for the technical delivery*Undertake detailed project specification both as pre-sales support and project initiation activities*Identify resources with appropriate skills to undertake the project work*Undertake technical and non-technical requirements gathering activities*Create innovative technical solutions to fulfil business and technical requirements*Undertake architecture analysis and design activities*Undertake detailed design activities, including creation of functional and non-functional design documentation*Undertake ad-hoc development and liaise with other resource to undertake development activities*Work with Project Manager to define test approach and test activities for the projects, supporting the testing activities as required*Undertake and help coordinate implementation activities*Provide administrative training*Provide troubleshooting support*Create Hand Over to Support (HOTS) documentation to support project closure*Accurately track project activities and timings within the Web Timesheet application, submitting timesheets in a timely manner*Retain a high level of knowledge for the Products utilised, maintaining accreditation standards where this is applicable*Undertake pre-sales support activities for the Sales Team*Undertake third line escalation activities for the Customer Support team*Provide ad-hoc support services to other departments within Capital Capture - provided by Dice .NET, DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT, DOCUMENTUM, SHAREPOINT, SQL
